Work in the Pragа district
Info workshop

Decent work remains one of the main reasons why people cover thousands of kilometers, cross borders and leave their homes. It should be noted that the work of foreign workers is increasingly becoming a crucial factor in the further development of the economy. Only in 2017 Poland granted work permits to approximately 235,000 foreigners. A significant number of them are migrants from Ukraine.

We invite everyone interested to the Praga Museum of Warsaw for a workshop devoted to job search in Poland where you will find out:

  • How to work legally in Poland;
  • What to watch out for when looking for and starting a new job;
  • How to find work suited to your expectations and skills;
  • How to protect your labor rights;
  • What is the role of temporary work agencies in finding a job and whether there are alternatives;
  • Discover the statistics of employment in Poland (including migrant work).

We would like to invite especially those who work or plan to start working in the Warsaw district of Praga and would like to share their experiences and/or find answers to the questions listed above, concerning work in Poland. You will also have the opportunity to talk to our speakers directly.

Working languages of the meeting: Polish, English and Ukrainian.

The workshop is part of the Kijowska project, in partnership with the Praga Museum of Warsaw, a branch of the Museum of Warsaw. The artistic part of the project will be carried out in the form of an audio walk around the district during Biennale Warszawa 2019 – Let’s organize our future.
