According to some interpretations, vampire movies made in Hollywood in the 1990s contain a coded message about the AIDS crisis. In his video work, Wojtek Rodak features cult vampire films from that period and uses them as raw material for experimenting with various found footage procedures. In a subversive way, the author juxtaposes feature films and conversations with a person living with HIV, thus creating a narrative of a contemporary life with a virus, and in a broader sense – about gay people in Poland.

The screening of the video piece and discussion with the POLISH EIDS team on Zoom. Registration required (open until 30.10.2020) via the application form. We will e-mail the link to the meeting to registered participants.
