Gender equality

workshops for teachers and people working with the youth in elementary and high schools

Girls are good at languages, boys are good at maths. It is always a “miss” who takes care of children in the preschool, and a “sir” who runs civil defence training. School reproduces (and often also reinforces) social gender inequality, divisions and gender stereotypes from the earliest years. But all teachers can influence the change of this status quo. During the workshop we will raise the following issues:

  • How to discuss gender equality at school?
  • How to create school friendly to students on the entire gender spectrum?
  • How to support the development of interests and passions of students without subjecting them to gender profiling?
