Didier Eribon
(b. 1953) is a French sociologist and philosopher. He works at the univeristy of Amiens, but he lectured at numerous others, including Berkeley, Princeton, Cambridge and Valencia. Author of several dozen books on sociology, philosophy, the history of ideas and gender studies. His major works include Michel Foucault’s biography (published also in Polish), Réflexions sur la question gay; Une morale du minoritaire. Variations sur un thème de Jean Genet; La Société comme verdict. Classes, identités, trajectoires. His books published in Poland include also conversations with Georges Dumézil (published with the subtitle Tracking Indo-Europeans. Myths and epics) and Conversations with Claude Lévi-Strauss.
