Friederike Faust
is a Social and Cultural Anthropologist and works as a researcher at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. She is interested in the ways civil society acts politically and interacts with the state, and wonders how people and organisations work towards social change. To find answers to these questions, she has researched diverse activist groups. In her most recent work she investigates prison related HIV/AIDS activism in Germany. Previous to that, she started from her own engagement as a women´s football activist and researched feminist interventions into the patriarchal world of football.
