Zülfukar Çetin

is based at the University of Basel. As an EUROPACH-researcher, his research focus is HIV/AIDS activism, policies and politics in Turkey. Additionally, he is professor at the Protestant University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. In 2014/2015 he worked on his postdoctoral project The Dynamics of the Queer Movement in Turkey before and during the conservative AKP government. He has published widely on intersectionality, migration research and politics, anti-discrimination policies and work, racism and antimuslim racism, (post-)colonialism, queer theory and politics, heteronormativity, homonationalism, biographical research and qualitative social research.
