Ilona Biedroń

Environmental engineer specialising in water engineering and water resources management. For 16 years she has been involved in research and planning work, as well as creating water management strategies, including initiatives related to the implementation of the Water Framework Directive (Directive 2000/60/EC) and the Floods Directive (Directive 2007/60/EC). She coordinated projects for water administration in Poland, e.g. in terms of water protection, counteracting the effects of drought and flood risk management. As part of her doctoral research at the Institute of Technology and Life Sciences in Falenty she studies drought. Author of numerous publications on the subject of water management.
