Justyna Kurzawska
Born in Gniezno, linked to the Greater Poland province for her whole life.
She completed her studies in guidance and counselling pedagogy at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, and post-graduate studies in pre-school education at the Higher School of Humanities and Journalism in Poznan.
Employed in the municipal nursery in Poznan from 2006.
In the Workers’ Initiative union from 2011. For two terms, she was the member of the Union’s National Commission, and the head of the Commission for Poznań nurseries for three terms. Her activities during this time include participation in meetings with municipal authorities, fighting for pay raise for workers and the improvement of working conditions of hundreds of women, fighting employers in the labour court, protests, demonstrations, participation in the Social Women’s Congress, and the Black Protest. In 2019 she participated in the Malta Festival as part of the discussion panel “Women’s State”.
