Mandayam and friends run the tape label MUTO focusing on experimental approaches to surround sound. A former resident of the Rijksakademie, Amsterdam, Mandayam has exhibited widely, including CAC, Vilnius, MHKA, Antwerp, kim?, Riga, Art in General, New York, Schloss Solitude, National Museum of Bolivia, National Gallery, Zimbabwe, XII Baltic Triennial, Kunstverein Munich, and FUTURA, Prague. Mandayam’s latest book, a novel titled The Apparatchik, is out this fall by Boabooks, Geneva.
