David Maroto

David Maroto is a Spanish visual artist based between Rotterdam and Warsaw. He holds a PhD from the Edinburgh College of Art, with a research project called The Artist’s Novel: The Novel as a Medium in the Visual Arts. His work was shown in the 11th Havana Biennial; Artium, Museum of Contemporary Art (Vitoria); Extra City (Antwerp); S.M.A.K. (Ghent); EFA Project Space (New York); W139 (Amsterdam), among others.He is currently preparing the publication of his PhD thesis, which includes the novel The Fantasy of the Novel.
