Folakunle Oshun

Founder and director of the Lagos Biennial, responsible for the development of the artistic concept of each edition of the Biennial and the Biennial’s organizational development. He is a Nigerian artist and curator based between Lagos and Berlin. His practice in sculpture engages the relativity of forms and the mapping of orbits. Folakunle holds a bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts with a major in Sculpture (2007) and a master’s degree in Art History (2012) from the University of Lagos. In 2017 he was selected as the first recipient of the Curator in residence grant by the Potsdam City Council, Brandenburg, Germany. He is currently a visiting Curator at the Pinakothek der Moderne museum in Munich.
