“A Modern Slavery” directed by Bartosz Frąckowiak presenting the phenomenon of forced labour in
Poland.
In this documentary project its creators match up testimonies, narrations, visual materials, documents and ideas from around the world, sketching the history of capitalism from the perspective of slavery. We present slavery as a modern global actuality that manifests itself in various forms and that is connected with tragedies and lives of many different people of various cultures, religions and races. We want to emphasise that slaves do not live far away on some phantom and illusive plantations but right behind the kitchen wall of the most elegant restaurant in Warsaw.
