Julien Kloeg
Julien Kloeg is Senior Lecturer in Political Philosophy in the Humanities Department of Erasmus University College Rotterdam. He holds a BA (distinction) and MA (cum laude) from Erasmus University Rotterdam, as well as a PhD in political philosophy. In his doctoral dissertation Europe’s Political Frontier Julien analyzed depoliticization as a theoretical and practical problem for the European politics of today, with the newly introduced concept of Europopulism as a proposed intervention. An updated version of the dissertation is currently under preparation as a manuscript. Julien writes on political philosophy and its intersection with philosophical anthropology, as well as on the philosophy of education. His political and educational commitments are also expressed through strong commitment to and activity with regard to public philosophy. In addition, Julien is a member of the Erasmus Institute for Public Knowledge.
