Lorenzo Marsili is a philosopher, author, and political activist working for a future beyond the nation state. He is the cofounder of the transnational NGO European Alternatives and was one of the initiators of the pan-European movement DiEM25. He was additionally the founder of Transnational Dialogues, a multi-annual cultural exchange between Brazil, China and Europe, and the founding editor of independent journal Naked Punch Review (London and Beijing). He is an active public speaker and media commentator internationally. He has degrees in philosophy and sinology from the University of London and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the global NGO CIVICUS. His latest books are Citizens of Nowhere (Zed Books, 2018) and Twilight of the Nation (forthcoming, 2020).
