Łukasz Moll

Philosopher, sociologist, journalist. At the Silesian University in Katowice he defended his doctoral thesis on the limits of European universalism in the perspective of post-structuralist political philosophy. He currently works at the Institute of Sociology of the University of Wrocław and heads a research project at the Institute of Philosophy of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw. He is also the editor of the academic magazine “Praktyka Teoretyczna.” Łukasz has been researching the commons for several years. His articles on this topic were published e.g. in “Praktyka teoretyczna,” “Studia Socjologiczne,” “Widok,” “Czas Kultury,” and “Przegląd Filozoficzny.” He presented his research, among others, at Étienne Balibar’s seminar “Communism: Return to the new commons” at the New School of Social Research in New York. He believes that critical theory has future, as long as it helps reclaim future in the conditions of a climate catastrophe.
