Contemporary slavery, forced work, or fraud, which occur? This is about, how foreign workers are treated
Debate
Hosted by Witold Klaus (Association of Legal Intervention; The Research Centre on Migrations of the University of Warsaw)

People have always changed their place of residence in search of a better life. The development of communication has made moving easier. But migrations also have their dark side. Migrants are in a worse position and often, employers take advantage of their vulnerability. The range of these abuses is various – from fraud to enslavement. However, they are constantly happening. They can take place even now and very close – at the back of your local estate store, your favourite restaurant or in the next building. We will raise an issue of whether it must be so, how to identify the exploitation of foreigners and how to help them.
Organizers: Biennale Warszawa, Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw
Co-organizers: The Research Centre on Migrations of the University of Warsaw, La Strada Foundation against Trafficking in Persons and Slavery, Association of Legal Intervention
