Lecture by Justyna Struzik (EUROPACH, IS UJ)

What do everyday HIV/AIDS policy worlds look like in Poland? How do people living with HIV, activists, and policy-makers negotiate their engagements and situate themselves in the complex HIV field? In her lecture, Justyna Struzik will present reflections from her qualitative research conducted as part of the project Disentangling European HIV/AIDS Policies: Activism, Citizenship and Health among actors involved in HIV/AIDS policies in Poland Drawing on oral history interviews, she will explain how the notion ‘manoeuvering’ helps us to understand the intersections of agency, activism and policies in the field of HIV/AIDS.
